LOVE FESTIVAL RAVE PARTY AT LA SPORTS ARENA GETS BUSTED!! 80 handcuffed and hauled off. 4,100 partiers go wild at taxpayer owned facility. Why do we tolerate this?

What's THE REaction:

Rave Party located on TAXPAYER OWNED PROPERTY.  How much money did it cost for the LAPD TO ARREST 80 party goers on Saturday night?

Another  "rave party" has turned into a major crime scene last night as Los Angeles law enforcement officials have arrested more than 80 youngsters and adults....most on drugs charges.

Many are questioning why tax dollars are being used to facilitate these dangerous events.  How much TAX money did it cost us to police this ONE event?

Los Angeles Fire Department officials say paramedics treated 16 people for minor injuries at the 18th Annual Love Festival late Saturday and early Sunday and three concertgoers were taken to hospitals.
The event was held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Sports Arena.  Since this facility is owned by the "taxpayers" of Los Angeles  County, why are we allowing these events to take place in the first place.
Paging Supervisor Don Knabe.  Hello, Don?  We have a problem here....  Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas...this was located in your DISTRICT....

According to media reports....

As many as 20 minors were arrested for using false identifications to attempt to enter the electronic music party, attended by about 4,100 people.

Above is a video from YOU TUBE to show you the promotion of this much hyped one-night mega party.

"18th annual Generation Celebration.  Bad Boy Bill & Richard Vission on 8 decks (House Connection), Junior Sanchez, DJ Reza, Bass Kleph, Cedric Gervais, Tom Novy, Inpetto, Micha Moor, Swedish Egil, Paul Ahi + much more."
Here are a couple of comments that grabbed my attention on this website:

"All systems are go for The Love Festival LA next weekend. We've finalized the event map and time slots. Save money and time by purchasing presale tickets online."

"We have received many questions about the status of this year's event and we can announce that both The Love Festival & Monster Massive will be taking place at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Expo Park grounds."

"After consulting with the venue, city and community, we have made the decision to go 18 and over."  "You have to be at least 18 years old to get in....and they will searched for contraband, drugs..."

Promoters call "The Love Festival" one of the longest running dance music events in North America.  I call it an outrage.

"Beginning in an underground Los Angeles location in 1992, The Love Festival has ventured out and visited San Diego, Las Vegas, Hawaii, San Francisco, St. Louis, Mazatlan, Denver, and other night life destinations over the years. "
The price to get into this party was $50 to $60 bucks a person.  Quick, grab your calculators boyz and girlz.....  you do the math.... Also, tickets were sold by Ticketmaster for this event.  Are you kidding me?  Paging District Attorney Steve Cooley.....

Makes me wonder about THE priorities at the County of Los Angeles in regards to "helping and protecting our Youth."

Agree. Time to stop allowing these Rave promoters from making millions off the taxpayers of LA County. Great point, Randy. Never looked at it in this light. No wonder we have a fiscal crisis year in and year out in LA County.... How much TAX MONEY did the PROMOTERS pay the LAPD or the Sheriff's for this event? Probably not ONE DIME.

Paging JOHN and KEN said...

I wonder if John and Ken from KFI are going to do something about this today on their show today. 80 people getting arrested at ONE event. How did this get approved? Don't they do criminal background checks on these party promoters?

Who is Running This Joint said...

We need to start DRUG TESTING the PEOPLE who APPROVED THIS EVENT. What the hell is wrong with our GOVERNMENT? Enough is Enough!

I was there. Nothing but drugs, drugs, and more drugs. You could buy drugs as soon as you got out of your car. What a BLAST!

The promoters paid a fee to the city to use this property! The city *made* money...

Alex Vazquez said...

Go Ventures paid a shit load of money to the city for this venue....First of all there shouldn't even be a war on drugs, people will continue to use drugs regardless...the laws are retarded and all drugs should be legal so that people dont get in trouble...people will continue to do drugs REGARDLESS. Anyways...Great Event. Free Country. Deal with it.
