California:

Today's historical decision on overturning the ban on "same sex" marriages is the hottest topic on the web tonight, not only in California....but all over the world.

I am calling this the "Gayest Day Ever" on the Internet.

Literally tens if not hundreds of millions of "hits"flocked to web sites all over the web during within the first hour of the news.  One local LA website....that I follow via Twitter is www.WeHoDaily.com, and they reported getting over 1,000 hits "per second" as soon as the court decision was posted on the the courts website.

Of course, I can only take WeHoDaily,  and others,  on their word, but today has been madness on the world wide web.

U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker's ruling is listed here:  136-page ruling.

The ruling was the first in the country to strike down a marriage ban on federal constitutional grounds. Previous cases have cited state constitutions.

The decision would appear to delay any resumption of gay marriage in the state. Officials in L.A. County and West Hollywood said they were studying the ruling before deciding whether to begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses again.

Prop. 8 backers have vowed to appeal the decision all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Stay tune.  The next legal battle has begun, and the hits will keep on coming....

Hmmm....I think the episode on "That's My Bush" by Matt Stone and Trey Parker may find validity in this picture.
