What happened to Frank Cipriano tonight?

That is the question on the minds of lots of people who are looking for him in off the shores of Catalina Island.

The 45-year old man was reported missing earlier today and BOTH the U.S. Coast Guard and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are searching off the coast of Santa Catalina Island attempting to locate him..

Frank Cipriano (no city listed but he is presumed to be a resident of Southern California) had been missing since about 10:45 a.m., when his shipmates on "The Indecent Proposal," a vessel anchored in Cherry Cove, woke up and didn't find him on board.

The Indecent Proposal's dinghy was found about a mile away in Eagle Reef.

Cipriano is reported to be about 160 pounds and wearing a polo T-shirt and black board-shorts. If you have any additional information about the whereabouts of Cipriano, you are being asked to immediately contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department as soon as possible.
