You can add controversial city attorney Edward Lee to the list of casualties in the war to clean up corrupt and out of control local city halls.
Lee, who was dumped last week by the city of Downy for his connection to the scandal-ridden town of nearby Bell and Maywood, up and quit as a partner in the law firm of Best, Best & Krieger.
But wait, don't pop those champagne corks just yet.
We haven't seen the last of old Ed around our neck of these woods.
He is staying on to help the corrupt City of Bell get through its recent and much publicized nervous breakdown....
Lets not forget what Lee did to us taxpayers. He was the one who signed off on contracts (before they were approved by the Bell City Council ) that resulted in City Manager Robert Rizzo to make over $800,000 a year; Police Chief Randy Adams, $457,000; and Assistant City Manager Angela Spaccia, $376,288 year in and year out.
I hope I can get a hold of Lee's billings as the attorney for Bell.
News agencies are being shut down on their "public record requests" to follow the money...." over at Bell City Hall....but trust me....there is more than ONE way to SKIN a CAT....and you can find the truth in lots of places...and from lots of people...
