Cerritos, CA:

America meet the "new iPhone 4."  Yep, the mega hot new phone and the newest Apple Store in the US has opened to doors into a new era of cell phone madness. The new Apple Store in Cerritos opened today at 7 a.m. today with literally hundreds of people lined up for some as long as 16 hours.

Some estimate the crowd to be anywhere from 800 to 2,000, but more impressive was the enthusiasm and eagerness and anticipation to be one of the first in America to get this new impressive version of the iPhone.

Apple Store Cerritos get into the groove of the morning fun!
The first two people in the door was Armando Casarez and his son Vincent, age 9 from nearby La Palma. They got in line at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday in order be one of the first in America to land the new sought after iPhone 4.

Armando and Vincent Casarez from La Palma
being interviewed by Kelly Puente and Jeff Gritchen
from the Long Beach Press Telegram.
"We had to rotate with my wife for a while, but this is totally worth it," said the older Casarez. "This is more than a phone, this is a happening, and I wanted me and my son to be part of this."

The younger Casarez, was more excited that he got a free t-shirt for being one of the first 1,000 people to enter the new store that is located in the newly expanded Los Cerritos Center.

Lots of the local media covered the opening including the Long Beach Press Telegram's Kelly Puente and Photographers Jeff Gritchen, and Steve Georges.  Also seen were the guys from http://www.talkcerritos.com/, as well as the Los Cerritos Community News.

They came from Torrance and stood in line here in Cerritos for 14 hours
to get a new iPhone 8!
Congratulations to Megan Richardson, Marketing Director for the Los Cerritos Center and Ken Kraus, General Manager for this wonderful morning!  These two great community leaders were literally up all night to make sure that everything went according to plan, so far....PERFECTION!

So is the iPhone 4 worth standing in line for?

I dunno.  I will leave that for you to decide.

Now, how about that tennis match....?

YIKES!
