Somewhere Out There, Gulf of Mexico
I wanted to thank my friend and blog follower Steve Kolander for sending me his brand new, total fresh off the editing bay, social musical commentary about the 2010 British Petroleum oil spill.
The spill is destroying the ecosystem, the fishing industry, the wildlife in the Gulf of Mexico and is now going up the Mississippi River Delta to do unspeakable damage.
Steve is one of the most creative, smart and talented musicians in America. I love his music and his "message." Tonight, he is "dead on" with his newest song and video.
This clip is now up on You Tube.
I am the FIRST BLOG to post this clip, and tonight I want EVERYONE to send this link to your friends, and to post it on ALL of your "social network sites" like Twitter, Facebook, My Space, yada yada.
It is written by Steve Kolander and spokesperson is Valerie Cullen.
Steve is praying for his family and friends living on the gulf coast in Louisiana. "Our hearts are with you, and to BP, please clean up your mess." Well said Steve. Amen!

One thing that strikes me: Could BP have downplayed the size of the oil spill because they just didn't want us to know how much oil they were actually pumping?
Also, BP will be at risk of lawsuits for damage and environmental impact for years to come. We need to make sure nothing get slips into a bill to protect them from liability. That would be adding insult to injury. But I do wonder which politicians BP has contributed to in the last ten years.
