This is the face of that mad man Joseph Mercado who is under arrest today in that brutal massacre over on Devlin Avenue and Civic Center Drive here in Hawaiian Gardens yesterday. I am calling him the "Devlin Devil" after his killer rampage yesterday morning that has left our entire community around the Gardens is utter shock and sadness.
Mercado is the "prime and only suspect" in the brutal killing of members of the Tarin Family of Hawaiian Gardens. Ten members of this wonderful family were terrorized by Mercado yesterday morning, that left at least 3 of them dead of gun shot wounds.
Mercado, 27, is the ex-boyfriend of Serena Tarin and father of their minor daughter. Mercado is under arrest today. He was was injured with a graze wound to his head after two patrol officers with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department opened fire on him after they arrived at the scene.
Mercado also poured gasoline on an exterior wall but failed to light it with a match. This is what we know so far.
- Mercado was in a "domestic dispute" with the Serena Tarin.
- Mercado gained entry to the Tarin household by shooting a lock from a front door.
- Mercado used a "semi automatic" weapon in his rampage.
- Shootings took place in several rooms all over the Tarin household.

I can't imagine what the horror this family must be going through today. Prayers and action need to help them recover.
Randy is full of crap!!!! If you actually knew the guy, you'd know he's no devil! There are two sides two every story and the news only said gave one side. I'm not saying he is innocent, he should have never done what he did, but everyone has a breaking point!

she was my bestfriend he was my friend yea everyone does have a breaking point but wut he did was wrong no matter wut serena did to him, joseph didnt have 2 go that route he chose it so now he must suffer the consquences
i knew joseph he wasnt the devil, serena was also my bestfriend he had no right to do wut he did no matter wut she did 2 him u just dont go and kill someone for there actions she didnt physically hurt him in anyway so y shud he have done it, he chose that route so now he must suffer the consequences for his actions
Joseph is one of my best friends... and in no way what he did was right.
At the same time.. not very many people knew the truth behind there relationship.
The games played, the threats made.
The whole things sucks, I wish it never happened... Im sure the whole thing could have been avoided, if everyone were acting like adults.
Burn in hell joseph... you faked everything! Too even know you step foot in my house before sickns me..Serena was in love with you until you wanted your way with everything..See if you get your way locked up forever..
If someone took my son away I would do the same thing. Just not to the mom and dad and brother. He was going to court to get visitation rights but she still would not let him see the baby. you can tell he loved the child when I spoke to him. He just wasnt in the right mindset and lost it.
Women have to understand not to use your children against you.
everyone who is talking about bad about serena needs to be quiet cuz the only thing serena and her family did was try to protect her son from this psycho and she didnt try to take him away, he didnt want visitaions they were given to him and he did this after serena started seeing someone else. i hope he rots in hell.
Serena was a bitch she puched him to that point... she tryed taking everything from the guy even he's only son. im dont saying he should of killed her, but it's hard to say what any one would do if they where on he's shoes u people only know half the truth...
