Remembering Bobby Salcedo: Public Vigil scheduled for Monday night at 6 p.m. at Mountain View High School

Slain El Monte School Board Member/Educator Augustin "Bobby" Salcedo will be honored with a public vigil on Monday night.

The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the football stadium of Bobby Salcedo's Alma Mater, Mountain View High School, 2900 Parkway Drive, El Monte according to his brother Carlos Salcedo in an interview with the Pasadena Star News late Sunday night.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people make donations to a memorial fund that is being set up in Bobby Salcedo's name. Details of the memorial fund were expected to be available Monday, and donations will be accepted at the vigil.

You may know me from my role as the Senior Advisor and Official Media Spokesman for the Recall Gavin Newsom campaign that established a worldwide blitz of interviews. Noguez and four others. However, politics has been in my DNA since I was a child.
