PLAY THE GAME!
By Randy Economy:
The hype is just about over in Pasadena, and its time to ball "THE GAME" that has all of the college football world in a frenzy.
The 2010 Citi BCS National Championship Game will mark the culmination of yet another thrilling college football season by featuring what should be a "classic match-up" between the No. 2 BCS-ranked Texas Longhorns versus the No. 1 BCS-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.
Both teams are 13-0 and after all the hits and jumps and catches are finished at the famed Rose Bowl tonight, one giant hang over will be felt for days to come over the Arroyo Secco. This game will also feature the two best college players in America in Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram of Alabama (left), and the wonderkin' Colt Mc Coy from the University of Texas (below).
The BCS was implemented beginning with the 1998 season to determine the national champion for college football while maintaining and enhancing the bowl system that's nearly 100 years old.
I much perfer a "playoff system" but this game will match the BEST of the BEST from this 2009-2010 NCAA Football campaign.
Head over to Colorado Boulevard and get ready to watch and party with some of the most dedicated and frankly bizarre college football fans on this planet. Why do folks walk around with horns on their heads?
Makes you wonder?
Roll Tide.
Hook-Em Horns!
Tell me what you think?
Who is going to win?
Texas or Bama?
Drop me a note to
