Fallen Angel: Popular sports broadcaster Rory Marcus dies from heart attack at age 53

I was saddened to learn today that popular Los Angeles Angels and USC basketball announcer Rory Markas has passed away from an apparent  heart attack he suffered this morning.

Markas was just 56 years old.

Markas was found dead at his home early this morning in Palmdale, California.

Late last year he was hospitalized for a blood clot in his brain. It is not known if that contributed to his death.

He had recently been named the full-time #1 TV announcer for the Angels after spending 11 years doing radio and TV for the club. He had also been the radio voice of USC basketball since 2000.  Markas was previously a local TV sports news anchor and announced L.A. Clippers games.

This has been a sad year for the Angels.

Popular pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a car accident in Fullerton at the start of the 2009 baseball campaign.  I will miss Rory on television and on the radio covering the Angels!  RIP

Great article as for me. It would be great to read more concerning that matter. The only thing I would like to see on that blog is some photos of some gizmos.
