Artesia City Council Election Update: Former City Councilman John Lyons files today for Fall campaign, joins Flowers, Manalo and Patel on Ballot

Retired Councilman John Lyons waited to the last minute today, and filed to run in this November's Artesia City Council election.

Lyons retired from the Artesia City Council less than two years ago.

He will be challenging incumbents Sally Zuniga Flowers, Mayor Pro-Tem Victor Manalo and Businessman/Mechanical Engineer Indu Patel in the Fall campaign.

Seen above are candidates Manalo and Patel during the Artesia's Mayoral Transition held last night.

This will be a hard fought, spirited campaign, that promises to be a wide open affair between the four well known candidates.

You may know me from my role as the Senior Advisor and Official Media Spokesman for the Recall Gavin Newsom campaign that established a worldwide blitz of interviews. Noguez and four others. However, politics has been in my DNA since I was a child.
