An Angel Forever: The Passing of Pitcher Nick Adenhart

Passing:
NICK ADENHART
1986-2009

I never knew Angel Pitcher Nick Adenhart, who passed from this Earth all too soon this past week. The Story of Nick Adenhart is one that Legends are made. He lost his life only a few miles from where I live, off of Orangethorpe Avenue and Lemon Street, right on the Anaheim/Fullerton Border. His death was a horrific lesson about the "crime" of driving under the influence of drugs and booze. We need to all pause and think about the harm these crimes cause on our community. I know his life and passing will not go in vain. Let's all keep him in our Prayers this Easter Weekend.
Right before the crash that took his life, he threw 6 shutout innings in only his fourth major league start, striking out 5 batters; Adenhart got a no-decision in his team's 4-6 loss to the Oakland A's. He was only 22 years old. RIP.
