Lets find the people who killed Robert Garcia of Norwalk

The late Robert Garcia and Breanna and his two children.....
WE ALL NEED TO FIND THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MURDER OF ROBERT GARCIA HERE IN NORWALK!

By Randy Economy
Members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau are searching for information that will lead to an arrest or arrests in the murder of a young Norwalk father of two, who had just begun a new career as a tow truck operator.
A press conference was held Wednesday to request the public’s assistance in solving the brutal murder of 22-yr-old Robert Garcia on June 28, 2012, at 11:54 p.m., in the 13500 block of Norwalk Boulevard in the City of Norwalk.
Garcia was an employee at Vernola’s Towing Service and was completing his shift when the murder occurred. He was walking back to the office eastbound on Front Street towards Norwalk Boulevard when he was approached by three Hispanic men and shot. The victim was then chased and fatally shot at the front door of the tow facility.
Breanna Cardenas, mother of Robert Garcia’s kids said that their two young children will never know their father. She asks that anyone who knows anything about this terrible crime, contact the Sheriff’s Department so that their children will at least know that justice was found.

Downey Patriot: Calling to task a "community" newspaper.

Wanted to point your attention to today's (this weekends) print edition of Los Cerritos Community Newspaper.   Publisher Brian Hews has a strong inside look at how a Downey newspaper is trying to fool legal authorities into thinking that they are "something" that they "are not."

Here is the scoop from Brian Hews:

"Downey Newspaper Filing Questionable Documents to Obtain Legal Status in Norwalk Publisher could have possibly perjured herself; Mayor Kelley, Councilman Mendez, City Manager Mike Egan, and Chamber Executive Director Vivian Hansen’s involvement questioned In an effort to secure the ability to publish legal advertisements for the city of Norwalk,"

Downey Patriot Publisher Jennifer DeKay-Givens has twisted facts and fabricated the actual publication’s date of establishment and printing of the her “new” newspaper ...

Norwalk City Council, Sheriff's warn residents about Madonna stalker flyer; Looks like a ploy ....

Been an interesting week in Norwalk.  Went to Norwalk City Council Meeting on Tuesday night and the biggest thing at the meeting was an item that did not appear on the agenda.  Anyway, residents have been given the below "flyer" on their doorsteps this week....

The people of Norwalk are pretty smart when it comes to issues with Metro State Hospital, they are not fooled too often, especially when it comes to "politics" and "perceptions."

Got to applaud Norwalk Sheriff's Captain Pat Maxwell for the way he handled this situation this week in public.  Here is a video clip and a copy of the material that began showing up on doorsteps this week.  We need more people like Captain Maxwell in our community.  He is one of the "best of the best" in my opinion, and really cares about our community.

My take is that this could be tied to the recent and current labor/political battles that are currently going on at Metro.  Just sayin....

A flyer warning Norwalk residents who live in the area near Metropolitan State Hospital about a recent “walk away” situation involving a famed celebrity stalker has caught the eye of local law enforcement officials.

At Tuesday’s Norwalk City Council Meeting, Sheriff’s Captain Patrick Maxwell was asked by Mayor Cherie Kelly and City Manager Mike Egan to address the contents of the flyer, and to determine who was responsible for it.  Robert Dewey Hoskins, 54, had walked away from Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk in early February, causing an immediate manhunt for his return by law enforcement agencies throughout Southern California including the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s, and other local police agencies.
The case quickly became national news, and was even covered by CNN, Fox News, and the BBC in the United Kingdom.
Maxwell held a copy of the flyer that carried a bold headline “ESCAPED!” Residents around Norwalk began receiving it on Tuesday.
Embossed on the flyer are the words, “Madonna Stalker escaped from Metropolitan State Hospital just over a month ago. The LAPD described him as a ‘very psychotic m
an’ with ‘very violent tendencies’ and he was on the loose on your streets for over a week!!”
The flyer also stated: “Even more disturbing, this institution plans to cut Psychiatrists and Psychologists who help stabilize and ensure security. Your safety is at risk! This asylum is in your back yard and it must be known that safety is more important! This is your community and action must be taken!!”

Norwalk:
Today, Monique and Carlos become BFF.  (That's BEST FRIENDS FOREVER for you non-computer geeks).

Monique Patino, the Los Angeles County Sheriff 911 Telephone Dispatcher from the Norwalk Station met the 7 year old little boy hero named "Carlos" today in an emotional press conference beam all over the world.

Carlos, who's last name is not being reported due to his age, and Patino were united today for the first time after she took his frantic 911 yesterday when 3 armed gun men broke into his families Cresson Avenue home.

Patino, who takes dozens of 911 calls each and every day, took that one emergency call yesterday from Carlos that "changed her life forever."  Patino, the who has a daughter the same age as Carlos, held back tears as she pinned a special "badge" onto a beaming and very proud Carlos.

Here is now the now famous crime went down....

Three suspects armed with handguns entered his families home in Norwalk through an unlocked front door and announced that they were there to "take what they wanted."  While inside the house, Carlos,  who had gone undetected by the suspects, hid and dialed 9-1-1.

While the frightened boy explained to the Sheriff’s 9-1-1 dispatcher what was happening, the suspects realized someone was locked in the bathroom and forced entry. One of the suspects grabbed the seven year old and took control of the phone as he was talking to 9-1-1. The suspect asked Carlos who he called and when the victim stated “9-1-1,” the suspects immediately fled the location without injuring the residents or obtaining any property.

Carlos is now an International Hero.  I LOVE this kid.  He is my new HERO!  W2G Carlos.  I bet he will be heading to the White House, real soon to meet President Obama....mark my words...Jay Leno...David Letterman....OPRAH!

BTW....The suspects left the area in a Grey Acura RXS 2 door vehicle.

Holy Lost Horses: Sheltand Pony found running around the Hood' in Norwalk! Are you kidding me?

By: Randy Economy

(Norwalk, Calif):  Is this too good to be true?  Especially now that the holiday season is upon us, this could be every kids fanstasy.

Southeast Area Animal Control Authority Officer Robby Gochicoa responded to a report of a loose horse in traffic last Thrusdsay  at about 7am.

Gochicoa arrived moments later and spotted what he described as a tan, female, Shetland Pony at the corner of Studebaker Rd. and Hayford St. in Norwalk.

A what?

A Shetland pony?  Running around the streets of Norwalk?  It's all true.

“She was a bit skittish when I approached, but warmed up and let me put the lead rope around her neck,” said Gochicoa. “After that she was very gentle and cooperative.” The call to SEAACA came from Norwalk Sheriff’s deputies who were on-scene and keeping an eye on the wayward equine. “They did a great job keeping her out of traffic.”

Gochicoa called for the horse trailer and the pony was transported to the SEAACA animal care center in Downey, where she was treated with some fresh hay and lots of friendly gawking from staff and volunteers. “We don’t see many farm animals here at SEAACA, so she’s sort of a star today,” Gochicoa stated. “She may be used for pony rides…we’re not sure. I do know that she is not bothered by the dogs here and she likes people.”

SEAACA officials want to speak with the owner and ensure that the pony is provided with a safe and secure home environment upon release.

Anyone with information this little pony is asked to call SEAACA at (562) 803-3301.

Econo-My-Scene: Chalk one up for HAWAIIAN GARDENS DIPLOMACY!

Econo-My-Scene:

Chalk one up for "Hawaiian Gardens Diplomacy"

By Randy Economy

Stop Labeling our Community

I have always been compassionate about an open and honest dialogue between our local city halls, and the community residents that are the heart and soul of the
world around us.

Norwalk, Pico Rivera, Cerritos and Hawaiian Gardens have all been in local, state and national headlines recently, and many say for all the wrong reasons.

In Norwalk we have seen sexual harassment lawsuits against two elected city council members and a third city councilman is currently under scrutiny by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Many are calling the Norwalk's City Council the "Most Touchy Feely" City Council in California. Get my drift.

In Pico Rivera we have watched one controversial City Councilman have his home, business and city hall office raided by the District Attorney's Office of Public Integrity a couple of weeks ago. An investigation is underway, but the DA is tight lipped about what they are looking for and if anyone else under their microscope.

In the All-America/Green City of Cerritos, we have watched as television news stations and national media outlets label the community as having the "Most Toxic Air" in America. The City has a pristine image and they want to keep it that way.

In Hawaiian Gardens we have watched "America's Largest Gang Raid" ever conducted over the past two months. Hundreds of people have been arrested and it has divided The Gardens into "us versus them," and the serious pain inflicted over the situation is almost humanly unimaginable.

Labels can destroy the image of a community, and it's time to stop putting cities into "classifications" or "categories." It's time for everyone to listen to each other openly and honestly without fear and retaliation.

Hawaiian Gardens Diplomacy

In The Gardens, I want to salute three community leaders this week.

Pastor Barry Bruce for his amazing ability to open a dialogue with both the Hawaiian Gardens City Council and with Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca over the pain that has been caused on the recent gang sweeps and federal injunctions here.

I also want to congratulate HG Mayor Mike Gomez and Sheriff Baca for LISTENING to Pastor Bruce and to the People of Hawaiian Gardens this past week during a very tense and heated city council meeting.

These three passionate community leaders are proof that all sides of a controversial issue can be heard and that solutions can be reached when people just begin to talk to each other.

All of us can learn from the conversation that is occurring in Hawaiian Gardens.

It's time for diplomacy and healing to occur within our great neighborhoods, one conversation at a time.

Your thoughts?

Let Freedom Ring: America's BEST Fireworks are over at the St. Linus Catholic Church Stand at Pioneer and Imperial in Norwalk!

JULY 4th in AMERICA!

I am totally into 4th of July. I live for this DAY!
Let Freedom Ring. Let's get the fireworks ready to EXPLODE in our crisp, clean, blue sky! You can't buy or use fireworks here in Cerritos, but you can buy them in and use them in Artesia and Norwalk.
Remember, be smart this weekend, and don't get all crazy shooting off fireworks were they are banned.
ANYWAY....
Today, I was over at the St. Linus Catholic Church Fireworks Booth at the corner of Pioneer Boulevard and Imperial Highway in the Sizzler Restaurant parking lot.
Business was brisk this afternoon, and our stand only offers "THE BEST, and MOST SPECTACULAR SAFE AND SANE FIREWORKS ANYWHERE IN AMERICA!"

I was with my bro Martin Garnier (from the country of Burma....this was his first time selling fireworks)and Father Tony Gomez, community/church leaders Tom Yokohama, and Percy Garces, and George Gonzalez and many others.

Man, fireworks have gotten so advanced over the past few decades. There is something for every taste at this Booth. Please, if you BUY fireworks this weekend, get over and support our wonderful St. Linus Catholic Church booth!

I promise, you will be more "bang for your buck" at our stand!
