Desert Trip 2016: $150 Million In Revenue Expected.

Media reports are circulating that the gate revenue for Desert Trip here in the Coachella Valley during the next two weekends will top more than $150 MILLION. This has got to be some sort of a world record. Anyway....I am ready to party. Got the tickets...and checked off the big list....

I cannot wait for next weekend.  Desert Trip has arrived here in the Coachella Valley and I am preparing for this historical weekend at the Empire Polo Fields to see The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney. Roger Waters, The Who, and Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

This will be my FIRST three day concert in years...and my first ever at the legendary Empire Polo Fields.  This magical location hugs the Santa Rosa and San Jacincto Mountain ranges and is nestled in the tranquil enclave of Indio/La Quinta area.

I have tickets for the OPENING WEEKEND....Oct. 7, 8 and 9.

Even though I live just 15 to 20 miles from the concert location (from where the crow flies from the west), the details to actually get to the Empire Polo Fields will be a challenge.  This past weekend, I spent doing a "dry run" to check out the site, the parking locations, security details, as well as what I can actually bring into the concert....and what is off limits....

Parking:  I am actually going to be parking OFF SITE at the Tennis Center in Indian Wells and then taking a shuttle to the Empire Polo Fields.

Looks like I am going to be missing Round 2 of the Presidential Debate on Sunday between Trump and Clinton.  Oh Well.  No worries.  I am watching real history LIVE and in PERSON at Desert Trip...and have the best seat in the house!
