Remebering Artesia Councilman Larry Nelson: Funeral set for Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Horse Drawn Procession to follow to Artesia Cemetary

Artesia, CA:

Funeral arrangements have been set for popular Artesia City Councilman Larry Nelson, who passed away on Saturday after a brief battle with cancer.

A viewing will be held this Wednesday, May 5th from 5pm to 8pm. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress at 4471 Lincoln Ave.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 6th beginning at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Artesia at 18708 Clarkdale Avenue.

After the Funeral, a Horse-drawn procession will be held from Holy Family to Artesia Cemetery at 11142 Artesia Boulevard (across the street from Richard Gahr High School.

Councilman Nelson loved his horses and was known for providing "pony rides" to literally thousands of local children for the past few decades.

It will be a great fitting and emotional tribute to this caring, kind, and loving local community leader.
