Steven Alan Lerman was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, in 1948, and attended local schools. Mr. Lerman holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and a Juris Doctor Degree (Law School Degree) from the prestigious University of Florida located in Gainesville, Florida. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida in 1972. In 1973, Mr. Lerman moved to Los Angeles, California, and was licensed to practice law in the State that year. He later went on to be admitted to practice in the State of Hawaii, and also retains a license to appear in Federal Courts. Mr. Lerman has even spent time as a Judge Pro Tem in Los Angeles Superior Court. Mr. Lerman has a rich history with the FIlipino Community. He has personally written numerous articles for, and has advertised in, The Filipino News. In addition, Mr. Lerman has represented many dozens of Pilipino community members, and Tagalog language assistance is always available. In 1991, Steven Lerman was notable hired by Rodney King to represent him in a civil rights lawsuit against the Los Angeles Police Department. Mr. Lerman was at King's side when Mr. King delivered his now famous saying: "Can We All Get Along?" This was actually written by Steven Lerman! Over the last forty (40) plus years in his Los Angeles based practice, Mr. Lerman has recovered many millions of dollars of compensation for bodily injury claims. He takes pride in securing top value for his clients, and never charges any fees unless he can secure settlement or verdict
