Gotta give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to one of my childhood peeps here in Cerritos, Journalist Keith Sharon with the Orange County Register for mentioning me tonight in an article talking about the chicken/rat controversy.

A fried rat proved to be radio gold.

Randy Economy, the host of "The Randy Economy Show" on AM 870, was sent a Facebook picture of a deep-fried rat on Saturday afternoon. Four hours later, he had created a sensation.
The deep-fried rat had been discovered by Compton resident Devorise Dixon in his box of Kentucky Fried Chicken. When Economy, a former parks commissioner and political adviser in Orange County, saw the picture of the rat, he invited Dixon on the show (Click to the 42nd minute of the show to hear the interview).
