CARY FIRE AT 150 ACRES IN RIVERSIDE COUNTY; 60% Contained

Been watching this fire tonight in the IE.  Looks like firefighters have the upper hand on this "Cary Fire."

Here are the latest updates from the Riverside County Fire Department...

Update 8:06 pm - The fire is still 150 acres, 60% contained. Unless significant fire activity or events warrant an update, the next update will be at approximately 7 am. No injuries reported. No structures threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Update 7:33 pm - The fire is still holding at 150 acres, 20% contained. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department would like to thank the residents who created and maintained 100 feet of defensible space which aided fire suppression efforts. ed. Full containment is expected at 6:00 am tomorrow morning (June 30) with full control expected by 7:00 am Sunday morning (July 1). Update 4:11 pm - The forward rate of spread has been stopped. Updates will be posted as information becomes available. Update 3:49 pm - Per the Incident Commander, the fire is approximately 75-100 acres with 10% containment. The two structures that were destroyed was a wooden storage shed and an unoccupied double wide mobile home. Update 3:42 pm - Battalion Chief Phil Rawlings will be on scene for media interviews. Please call 951-940-6985 to facilitate all interview requests. Update 2:50 pm - Per the Incident Commander, the fire is now 75 acres, 0% contained. There are currently no evacuations. Updates will be posted as information becomes available. Update 2:13 pm - CHP was requested to close Cary Road at Cave Rock and at Bautista.
