Members of law enforcement think that they have the "prime" suspect in the connection of a series of arson fires that have caused millions of dollars of property damage in the
Los Angeles county during the past week.
Harry Burkhart, 24, a German national citizen has been arrested and booked for arson of an inhabited dwelling. According to booking recordings obtained by Los
Cerritos Community News, Burkhart will be arraigned on Thursday at the
Van Nuys Court House. He is being held without bail at
Twin Towers Correctional Facility. He is listed as being 5 foot 10, and 180 pounds. He was wearing his hair in a pony tail when he was arrested at 2:50 a.m. Monday morning in the Hollywood area. No bail amount is listed on his arrest records,
LCCN can confirm.
As many as 55 arson related fires have been set recently and it is not known how many Burkhart will be charged with setting.
Los Cerritos Community News will continue to follow this case.
