BOB BEALL: Former Whitney High School Prinipal passes away

Sad news. Former Whitney High School Principal Bob Beall passed away yesterday. I got this note from his family:

"It is with a heavy heart that I write this note to inform you that Bob passed away tonight at 6:00 p.m. He had many complications from pneumonia and his body just couldn't fight all those complications."

Everyone loved Bob Beall. He had one of the "biggest hearts" this community has ever seen. He loved his students, and loved education and his beloved Whitney Wildcats.

We all like to joke that Whitney High School is the "Ivy League" of the ABC Unified School District, and that Bob Beall was the heart and soul of this amazing public institution. He literally changed thousands of young, and now, not so young people's lives here in Cerritos, Artesia, Lakewood, Hawaiian Gardens and Norwalk.
