GREGORY SHIGA: Rio Hondo College Suspect arrested on college campus for sexual battery of students.

Image via WikipediaA 33-year old man was arrested on the Rio Hondo College Campus, Monday, August 8, 2011, at about 4:50 PM after several female students complained he inappropriately touched them. Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to Rio Hondo College in Whittier regarding a report of a sexual battery. Several female students reported separate incidents in which a male had contacted them on the campus under the guise that he was collecting signatures for a petition. As the student’s attention was focused on the petition, the victims reported the male touched their private parts over their clothing. The students notified campus security officers, who in turn notified the Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.The suspect was identified as Gregory Shiga, a resident of Hacienda Heights. A $20,000 bail has been set in this case.
