BREAKING NEWS out of Japan. What was first reported as a huge 6.8 (already been downgraded to 6.5) earthquake has struck off the coast of Honshu, Japan. The strong earthquake ocurred, but a tsunami IS NOT expected along the California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, or Alaska coast, but a Tsunami warning has been issued for the greater Japan coastline.
ADVISORY
At 10:37 PM Pacific Daylight Time on August 18, an earthquake with preliminary magnitude 6.8 occurred near the east coast of Honshu, Japan. It has been downgraded to 6.5.
