6.1 Earthquake Slams Alaska Peninsula, felt as far away as Northern California

Propagation of seismic wave in the ground and ...Image via WikipediaAt 11:59 AM Alaskan Daylight Time (ADT) on July 16, an earthquake with preliminary magnitude 6.1 occurred 50 miles/80 Km southwest of Sand Point, Alaska .  No Tsunami, just a whole lotta shakin!  Btw.  It was felt as far away as Northern California.
