It is going to be madness in the Rose Bowl on Saturday afternoon and well into the night as the United States faces Mexico in the North American soccer match of the year.
Yep.  This is going to be battle royal in the famed historic stadium that has hosted everything from rock concerts, super bowls, and even a former Pope.
Get ready for traffic and long lines and lots of people.  More than 80,000 are expected at the Rose Bowl.  Watch out golfers on the courses around the bowl area, you are about to be invaded by some of the most hard core sports fans on Earth.  I have been watching all of the games on Fox Sports Soccer that has led up to these finals.
Keep your eye on  Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey for the USA.

LANDON DONOVAN, UNITED STATES MEN'S NATIONAL SOCCER!
We have lots of rivalries here in our sports nut town of Los Angeles.  Lakers, Clippers.  USC and UCLA.  Dodgers and Angels are also playing a three game series this weekend here in our hood.  But when ever the USA and Mexico square off in Soccer, this is beyond a rivalry, it becomes personal.
East Los Angeles is going to be going nuts rooting for Mexico on Saturday night.  The USA
will have it's share of fans in the sports bars in Santa Monica and Pasadena, but look for the Rose Bowl to be busting out with hoards of fans deck out in Green, Red and White, instead of the Red, White and Blue.
LA is crazy for soccer. This is the "real football" here in Southern California.  So welcome to the hood, soccer fans.  Many think that Mexico has a "home field  advantage" in the Rose Bowl verses the Americas on Saturday in this match.  I tend to agree, but I got my Tommy Hilfiger crew shirt with the stars and bars bursting on my chest.
