Well, looks like this could be a long hot nasty fire season here in Southern California. Today a brush fire broke out in Riverside County, and this blaze has been given the name of "The Trilogy Fire." Yep, we name our fires here in Southern California. Around 200 acres burned so far. Update 6:30 p.m.:

Fire is holding at 160 acres and is 50% contained. Please contact the U.S Forest Service who is now the incident commander, as the fire is on federal land - (619) 756-4281. This will be the final update from CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department. Update 3:10 p.m. - 160 acres and 20% contained. The fire is burning in the canyon west of the Trilogy Golf Course. No structure threats and no evacuations. Additional updates are posted as information is received from the field. Update: 12:53 p.m. - The fire is now at approximately 150 acres. Weather conditions at this update time: 74 degrees, RH 33%, WSW 9 mph with gust to 13 CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters are on scene of a vegetation fire. Confirmed acreage is 10 acreage with a moderate rate of spread.
