Last night, Alyssa Campanella won the title of Miss USA representin' my hood here of Cali.

Wait a minute. She doesn't look like a "typical" California girl. What is with that dyed magenta hair? That lingo coming out in the interview competition sounded more east coast, than west coast.

You mean, the new Miss USA, who claims to be "Miss California" is actually from the Township of Manalapan, New Jersey. Yep. Move over Snookie, the new Miss USA is actually a native of the Garden State and just 15 miles from the chaotic Jersey Shore. BTW, she is an ex-Miss Teen New Jersey back in 2007.

New Miss USA: From California via Miss Teen New Jersey.

Campanella, who wore a green mermaid beaded dress, beat out 50 other hopefuls to take home one of the worlds most sought after beauty titles. She is really a blond, but changed her hair color to magenta a few years back when she was in a stage production. Yep. She is an actress on a mission to rule the beauty universe. Yep, and she is a total medical pot girl at heart.

Under pressure, she was asked her position on "legalizing pot" and spewed out a brilliant response that left everyone gasping in the steamy Vegas air.

"Well, I understand why that question would be asked, especially with today’s economy, but I also understand that medical marijuana is very important to help those who need it medically,” Campanella said. “I’m not sure if it should be legalized, if it would really affect, with the drug war.

“I mean, it’s abused today, unfortunately, so that’s the only reason why I would kind of be a little bit against it, but medically, it’s OK.”

Right on, Miss USA.

I guess you REALLY are a California Girl at heart!
