KAYSER, SVONKIN hold leads in race for LAUSD and COLLEGE TRUSTEE SLOTS

It appears that Bennett Kayser is on his way to winning a slot on the Los Angeles Unified School Board of Education. With 55% of the of the precincts reporting, Kayser is up by 14%, and time is running out for his challenger Luis Sanchez.

The tight race of the night is between Scott Svonkin and Lydia Gutierrez for a seat on the Los Angeles Community College Board of Board of Trustees.  Less than 2 percent of the vote are between the two heated rivals.
