In a stunning turn around, Republican Businessman Craig Huey will be facing
Democrat Janice Hahn for the right to replace retiring Rep. Jane Harman in California's
36th Congressional District.
Huey overcame California Secretary of State Debra Bowen in the last votes that were
tallied Tuesday night.
California's new "top two" primary system means that "political parties" are becoming less
and less important in these type of wide open special elections.
This is going to be fun to sit back and watch. Hahn and Bowen hate each other.
No love fest in this first go around.
