Los Angeles

What the heck was former USC Trojan defensive end Everson Griffen thinking early Monday night right around sundown.

Griffen was arrested and had to be "Tazed" to subdue him after he "allegedly" assaulted a Los Angeles Police Officer during a plain old stupid traffic stop.  He is in deep crap tonight, and could be sitting in jail for at least a day or so.

Griffen is now a member of the Minnesota Vikings.  He was an amazing standout player for the Trojans during the 2007, 2008 and 09 gridiron seasons.  The 23 year old was taken into custody at around 4 p.m. on Monday at the area of 30th Street and Hoover.

WTH?  Trojan arrested?
Here is what went down:

Griffen get's pulled over by an LAPD Squad car around the USC campus.

Apparently, while officers were conducting their "standard" investigation, the brawny Griffen flew off the handle and tried to run away from officers.

Dumb move dude.

So, if you had to deal with a huge professional football player, how do you bring him down?

Break out the handy dandy taser, and voila, Griffen was stunned, stuffed and cuffed and place in the back of a squad car and now faces various felony charges.

Apparently Griffen didn't have a "valid" California Drivers License, got freaked out after he was pulled over, and decided to make a run for it.

So, what can Griffen except during the next few hours?
