WARNER AND NICHOLS: Huntington Beach Police looking for suspect who ran over a woman earlier this morning and left like a coward. Who did this?

Be on the look out for a hit and run driver in Surf City USA today who literally ran over a woman at the corner of Warner and Nichols earlier this morning.

Here is a FLASH from the HUNTINGTON BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT:

On 1-13-11 at approximately 12:10 AM, the Huntington Beach Police Department received a report of a “Hit and Run” traffic collision on Warner Avenue west of Nichols Lane. Arriving officers found the pedestrian victim, a 39 year old female, injured and unconscious in the roadway. The vehicle, which struck the victim, left the scene of the accident and the driver has not been identified.

The victim was treated at the scene by Huntington Beach Fire Department paramedics and transported to the UCI Medical Center. At the time of this release, the victim was in surgery and being treated for serious injuries.

There were conflicting vehicle descriptions given at the time of the accident and the investigation is ongoing. Any witnesses to the traffic collision are requested to call the Huntington Beach Police Department Traffic Bureau at 714-536-5670.
