Buena Park, CA

The famed Halloween Haunt over at Knott's Berry Farm almost turned deadly tonight as the newest roller coaster called "The Pony Express" went literally "loco" tonight injuring as many as 10 very scared guests.

Here is what happened....

Two trains on the Pony Express ride literally collided at around 8 p.m. on Thursday night.

If you have been on the ride, and I rode it the first weekend it was opened, a train departing from the docking station on the Pony Express ride couldn't make it over the first hill, rolling back to strike another train that hadn't left the station.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the ride to go out of control.

The ride has been closed, and all of those injured have been taken to area hospitals.  I live around 2 miles from Knotts, and tonight the sky above our hood is flooded with television news copters, and sirens can be heard coming from the 91 Freeway and Beach Boulevard area.

Scary stuff, especially for "Halloween Haunt!"

If you were at Knotts "Scary" Farm tonight, and have pics or videos, send them to my email at RREconomy@aol.com.

I was loaded on to the next stationed set of horses and it was locked and we couldnt get our feet or anything in so the ride attendent casually told everyone to get off and as soon ans me and my boyfriend got off just milliseconds afterwards the car that went before us went full speed in reversed and crashed into the stationed horses that we had just been told to get off of! it was terrifying and i heard at least 3 women moan about their neck and backs and i remember in the front of that reversed car were a few people that had trouble being straped into the ride in the first place and on the news later that night i watch one of the men i saw that was even sitting in the front yet still got injured. my boyfriend and i were so scared i mean could you imagine having still been on the docked car not secured and having that crash happen! i wish the attendants would have been a little more urgent when saying get off the docked horses because it was just way too close of a call. my guess is that by how long that first car was gone i would say it would have at least have been half way done with the ride before it came back because how else could we have had that much time to get on and off that second car so fast. Pony express is a pretty quick ride. my guess is when it crashed it was about 40 mph
