BOYLE HEIGHTS --
It was suppose to be a fun local "house party," and it turned out into a bloody shootout and stabbing rampage that has left a neighborhood just of east of Downtown Los Angeles in total disbelief.
Today, police are looking for a violent killer.
A house party on Los Palos street in Boyle Heights turned deadly earlier this morning as a man went on a "shooting spree" killing one man and injuring as many as 12 others in attendance,
Here are the details:
- Shooting occurred just before 2:00 a.m.
- 1400 block of Los Palos Street, near Union Pacific Avenue in Boyle Heights.
- An argument between several people attending the party escalated into a fist fight.
- The fight escalated when rocks and bottles were thrown.
- One suspect then opened fire into the crowd hitting..
One man was shot and killed. - Two victims are in "critical condition."
- Two victims are in "stable condition."
- At least eight others also suffered injuries, including four with stab wounds.
- All the victims were taken to various nearby hospitals.
According to witnesses and media reports, the gunman, who is still at large, all knew each other.
