Santa Clarita, CA

Los Angeles County Fire officials are reporting that the fire up in Santa Clarita that broke out around an hour ago is now 30 percent contained, and that they are getting an "upper hand" on the situation.

Also, evacuations have been lifted in the area of  Haskell Canyon Road near Copper Hill Road (to walk in pedestrians) but if you have a car and want to return to your home, you still need to wait due to the number of emergency vehicles on the scene.

So far, more than 40 acres have burned, and a number of homes were threatened.

Stay tuned for updates.
