A Redlands man was charged today with trying to break into Paris Hilton’s Beverly Hills home on Tuesday, the District Attorney’s office announced.

Nathan Lee Parada, 31, (dob 10-20-78), was charged in case LA065886 with one felony count of attempted residential burglary with a person present, said Deputy District Attorney William Ryder. Parada is scheduled to be arraigned today at Van Nuys Superior Court, Department 100. He is being held on $50,000 bail.

Parada was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday after Hilton phoned police to report someone outside her house. Parada allegedly was carrying two knives.

Parada could face up to six years in state prison if convicted.
