Wildomar, CA

That fire that broke out over in a remote area of Riverside County has been given the name of the "Rock Fire" by authorities on the scene.


 As of 11:15 p.m., here are some of the updated facts from the Riverside County Fire Department:
  • Incident Name: Rock Fire
  • Incident #: CARRU-73623
  • Fire broke out at 7:48 p.m. (PST) on August 19, 2010
  • Vegetation Fire started at 21384 Coral Rock Lane, Wildomar
  • Cause of the Fire is Under Investigation
  • 84 Firefighters are on the scene
  • 18 Fire Engines on the scene
  • 1 Overhead water dropping craft
  • Riverside Sheriff's Department are assisting securing location
  • Two total fire crews on the scene
  • Two bull dozers
  • Two water tenders
  • Fire has burned more than 20 acres in heavy fuel, burning along the ridgetops.
  • No evacuations at this time.
  • Potential to burn 400 to 500 acres
