UPDATE: MASSIVE MANHUNT in LONG BEACH, HAWAIIAN GARDENS CASINO AREA for OC BANK ROBBERS. Schools on LOCK DOWN in LONG BEACH, LAKEWOOD area

Here is an update on the BREAKING NEWS in LONG BEACH regarding those 2 bank robbery suspects who are being hunted down right now.

One suspect, a male black weighing about 300 pounds (yikes), had been seen in the area of East Carson and Pioneer near the Hawaiian Gardens Casino.


The 405 began reopening to traffic at about 1:30 p.m. but many nearby residential streets were still affected.

Residents in the area were being advised via a reverse 911 call to lock themselves in their homes or businesses.

Schools currently on lock down include:
Millikan High School
Stanford Middle School
Emerson Elementary School
Cubberley Elementary School
Burcham Elementary School
Prisk Elementary School

The schools secured around noon saw lockdowns end about half an hour later and will dismissed at the regular times.

Police and school officials will help direct students as some roads near schools my be blocked as a result of law enforcement activity.

United Methodist Church and St. Joseph's Catholic School also put their students in protective lockdown.
