Santa Fe Springs, CA –

April 1, 2010

A local man was murdered on Thursday morning as he was ordering food at a local take out restuarant. and the Whittier Police Department needs the communities help to find the killer.

On Thursday morning, at approximately 8:40am, a homicide occurred inside the Angelo’s Burger restaurant located at 9135 Norwalk Boulevard in Santa Fe Springs.

The victim, a male Hispanic in his 30’s, was ordering food at the counter when the assailant entered the restaurant and fired several shots at him.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene on a BMX type bicycle, and was last seen northbound on Norwalk Boulevard. The restaurant is located on Norwalk Boulevard near Los Nietos Road in an industrial area.

Detectives are aggressively investigating this case; however anyone with information is encouraged to call the Whittier Police Department at (562) 945-8250.
