Here are more details on the arrest of State Senator Roy Ashburn on Drunk Driving charges this morning in Sacramento.

The car he was driving was owned by the taxpayers of California. Yep. "We The People" owned the car he was driving around drunk.

Amazing, but sad. Why do we pay for the cars of our State Legislators in Sacramento? This needs to stop...asap.

The California Highway Patrol picked up Ashburn at 2:00 am morning after an officer noticed that his black Chevy Tahoe swerving at 13th and L Streets near the State Capitol.

Ashburn is termed out of office this November due to term limits....thank goodness.

Also, there is NO TRUTH to the internet rumor that State Senator Patricia Wiggins was travelling in the car with him at the time of his arrest. Okay. So stop those lies about poor Senator Wiggins.
