REJECTED!: State Senator Abel Maldonado given THUMBS DOWN by ASSEMBLY DEMOCRATS to become Ca Lieutenant Governor

The California Assembly has rejected Sen. Abel Maldonado (R-Santa Maria) as the next lieutenant governor.

Could this be headed to a court room?

Maldonado received 37 votes in favor of his confirmation and 35 votes against confirmation.  Every  Assembly Republican voted for his nomination, and only eight members of the 49-member Democratic caucus voted to support Maldonado.

The Assembly's only independent member, Juan Arambula of Fresno, also voted in support of confirmation.

Earlier in the day, the State Senate approved his nomination.  The Senate is also controlled by Democrats.

The courts may be asked to decide what the definition of "rejection is."  Regardless, this is just another example of Party Politics at Its WORSE in Sacramento.  Time for change in Sack!
