President Obama tells Southern California residents to prepare for "possible Tsunami waves." Could hit San Diego, Malibu and Santa Barbara today beginning at Noon

President Barack Obama has warned the West Coast of the United State to prepare for possible Tsunami waves to hit here in wake of the earthquake in Chili.

He also told residents of the Hawaiian Islands, Guam and Samoa to seek higher ground as soon as possible.

Potentially damaging small Tsunami waves are probable today in Southern California in wake of the earthquake in Chili, according to the Tsunami Warning Center.

The 3 meter plus high waves are "possible" to hit at  noon in San Diego,  at 12:00 pm in Malibu, Santa Barbara Harbor at 12:25pm PST, Santa Monica Harbor at 12:15 pm PST, San Pedro Harbor at 12:15pm PST. and 12:30pm.

Remember, a Tsunami wave hits anywhere from 100 to 500 miles a hour and can cause massive damage.

Obama said that residents should seek higher ground, and to listen for instruction from local authorieis.  Be prepared.
