Breaking News: Will the Pico Rivera City Council fire embattled City Manager Chuck Fuentes this afternoon? Emotions are running very high

Pico Rivera:

Emotions are running very high today over on Passons Avenue.

Will embattled Pico Rivera City Manager Charles P. "Chuck" Fuentes be fired Thursday afternoon at a Special Meeting of the City Council?

All indications are pointing that some type of resolution to his future as the cities top administrator will officially take place today.

The Pico Rivera City Council will be formally addressing the future of Fuentes at a 4 p.m. Special Meeting at City Hall located at 6615 Passons Blvd., in Pico Rivera. The public is invited to attend the meeting, but the discussion on Fuentes future will take place behind closed doors.

In an agenda posted on the Pico Rivera city website, two agenda items are listed under a formal "Closed Session."

Item #A calls for "Public Employee Release" pursuant to California Government Code 54957.

The next item on the agenda is "Public Employee Appointment" for the position of an "Interim City Manager."
