He's blond, blue eyed, wears glasses, looks like what some would call a "nerd," carries a gun, and has robbed as many as 7 local stores over the past two weeks.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect wanted in connection with a string of armed robberies to businesses occurring in the Long Beach area over the past three weeks.

Several businesses in Long Beach and one in Lakewood have been robbed since October 20, 2009. In each of the incidents, one suspect enters the business and demands cash while showing a handgun. Once he gets the cash, he exits the business and flees in a vehicle. It is unknown if the suspect is acting alone or with an accomplice.

The suspect has been described as a male White in his late teens or early twenties, 5'7" to 5'11" with a thin build, blue eyes, blond hair and eyeglasses.

The robberies have occurred at the following dates and locations:

10/20/09 Carson Street & Woodruff Avenue Food Establishment
10/27/09 Stearns & Palo Verde Avenue Book Store
10/27/09 Bellflower Blvd. & Carson Street Food Establishment
11/06/09 Willow Street & Bellflower Blvd. Food Establishment
11/09/09 Bellflower Blvd. & Carson Street Food Establishment
11/09/09 Anaheim Road & Studebaker Road Food Establishment
11/10/09 Willow Street & Bellflower Blvd. Food Establishment

Anyone who may have any information regarding these crimes is strongly encouraged to contact Robbery Detective Fermin Gonzalez at (562) 570-7464.

BTW...

I have dubbed this guy as the "Blond Bandit."

If you have a better name for this little felon, send me your suggestions to RREconomy@aol.com!
