Black Friday Turns into "Green Mega Bucks" for Cerritos retailers as our local shopping frenzy tops Los Angeles TV Newscasts

"Black Friday" turned into huge greenback$ for shopping retailers throughout Cerritos this holiday weekend.

Over at the Cerritos Towne Center Best Buy, literally thousands of eager shoppers spent the entire Thanksgiving Day and Night standing in long lines that wrapped around the building and through the parking lot.

Our mega shopping lines here in Cerritos were also featured as the "top lead news" story on the 11 p.m. KCBS 2/KCAL 9 Newscast last Thursday night.

Covering the Best Buy "Blow Out Black Friday" event was Reporter Rita Ramirez (seen here with me). She interview lots of happy local Cerritos residents as they got ready to spend thousands of dollars at the midnight supersales around town.

Also seen were hundreds of local students from Cerritos High School, Gahr High School and Whitney High School.  The students waited in tents and played cards and board games to pass the time in line.

The hot sale item at Best Buy were lap top/note book computers for $199.00 and $299.00 each.

Also waiting for computer bargains for more than 30 hours were Sandeep Singh and Ashuin Patel of Buena Park.  They got lucky and scored what was on their "wish list."
