Arrest Made During Investigation Into Aliso Viejo Bombing
Amazing statement from the FBI; Orange County Sheriff’s Department; ATF; the United States Attorney’s Office; and agencies investigating the May 15 explosion in Aliso Viejo.
During the course of the investigation into the May 15 explosion in Aliso Viejo, investigators found a destructive device during the service of a search warrant at a Long Beach residence. The resident, Stephen Beal, 59, of Long Beach, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an unregistered destructive device. Mr. Beal is not being charged in connection with the explosion. He is expected to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana this afternoon. No additional details will be made available until Mr. Beal is officially charged in a federal criminal complaint later today, at which time officials will provide additional details.Original post...
I just got a note from one of my former Cerritos High School classmates (circa 1974-78) who said that the suspect in that deadly bombing in Aliso Viejo yesterday has been identified as Stephen Beal, who went to high school with me and grew up with all of us in the 9071.
This doesn't make sense.
Steve Beal that we grew up with was one of the most amazing kind hearted people you could ever imagine. Geek Chic.
I had to look up the news stories that are being circulated. Yep. It's OUR Steve Beal who is the suspect in the bombing.
Crazy to wrap my head around this one.
