That fire that broke out over in a remote area of Riverside County has been given the name of the "Rock Fire" by authorities on the scene.
As of 11:15 p.m., here are some of the updated facts from the Riverside County Fire Department:
- Incident Name: Rock Fire
- Incident #: CARRU-73623
- Fire broke out at 7:48 p.m. (PST) on August 19, 2010
- Vegetation Fire started at 21384 Coral Rock Lane, Wildomar
- Cause of the Fire is Under Investigation
- 84 Firefighters are on the scene
- 18 Fire Engines on the scene
- 1 Overhead water dropping craft
- Riverside Sheriff's Department are assisting securing location
- Two total fire crews on the scene
- Two bull dozers
- Two water tenders
- Fire has burned more than 20 acres in heavy fuel, burning along the ridgetops.
- No evacuations at this time.
- Potential to burn 400 to 500 acres
