HIGH IN MONTEBELLO, CA -
Holy ganja bust, Batman! Surprise, surprise, surprise.
So the cops in Montebello pull over this van over on Vail Avenue and Washington Boulevard in a "routine" traffic stop. Son of a gun, 6,000 of pounds of marijuana with an estimated $4 million value is stuff inside the vehicle.
Who knew?!
Montebello officers stopped a what is known as a "large box truck" at 1 p.m. on Monday, and the officer discovered the truck loaded up with marijuana.
George Alfaro Chicas, 42, and Christian Sanchez, 30, both of Los Angeles, were booked in Montebello jail on suspicion of transportation of marijuana for sales.
According to Lt. Rich Meadows, the two men were later released pending further investigation. Wait a minute. They find $4 million bucks worth of pot in a van and the let them go pending a "further investigation?" Are you kidding me?
Amazing what you can get away with these days. Oh, hell, just make pot legal. Who really cares, right?
"Its JUST POT!"
