Whittier, CA

The family of Deisi Alaez are remembering her today as an "amazing mother," "incredible sister," "loving, caring" and the "center" of their lives.

"If there ever is a testament of how great of a person she was is that she was not only a great MOM to her three kids, Deisi, Nelson, and Nancy Amador, she was also the best step mom we could have," her step daughter Ana Alaez for the past 18 years told me today.

Deisi Alaez, was a longtime resident of Whittier.  She was killed Sunday night when a suspected drunk driver Brandon Dominguez, also of Whittier, hit her car in a violent crash at the corner of Lambert Road and Gunn Avenue.   Deisi died at the scene, and the 20-year old Dominguez was transferred to a local hospital before being placed under arrest on various felony charges.

Brandon Dominguez via Facebook.
Dominguez is now in custody and being held on a $1 Million Bail at the Men's Central Jail in Downtown Los Angeles. The 6 foot, 150 pound suspect who attended Sierra Vista High School is being held on felony charges.  I will keep you updated on arraignment details, and upcoming court dates.

In his last Facebook posting that was at 3:36 p.m. on Sunday, Dominguez told friends he was "sippin on Olde' English! Too Bomb!!!"  If you want to see his post, he is the only "BRANDON DOMINGUEZ" on  Facebook.

Amazing what people put on Facebook. The fatal crash occurred at around 10 p.m., or six hours later after his posting on the social network site.

Funeral arrangements for Deisi Alaez are pending.  I want to thank the Alaez Family for sharing their thoughts in this very difficult time.  We need to keep both families in our Prayers, and to allow the legal system to take its course in this case.

Please, feel free to share more of your thoughts.

Deisi, you will forever be my Mama Deisi.Deisi was not my mother but understood every single tear...she was an example of what a mother and woman should be like. Compassionate is such an umderstatement. She demonostrated enormous sensitivity to peoples needs. My shoulder to cry on and the first person to talk to in time of crisis. She soothed my dissapointments and calmed my fears when I went through a personal tragedy she was always there.
And even with my very Heavy Heart, I know I have been blessed to have been one whos life she touched.
La quiero y siempre la recordare..
Mama Deisi, que descanse en paz con todos sus Angelitos que la llevaron a su destino final.
Su amiga que la quiere

At Anonymous #1, get his facts straight? Why dont you go ahead and correct his biased statements?

All of his FB pictures depict him drinking in various locations, not going to look good in his defense if it is presented, which Im sure it will be. His last post wasnt any help, just shows he spent most of that evening drinking.

No judgment here Brandon, I actually cant imagine your fear, I hope you are sorry and can ask for and receive forgiveness. Let this be a lesson to us all, especially when drinking. I hope this opens a vision of reality to his peers.

My prayers go out to both families.
