"THIS IS BELL ON STEROIDS" ONE SOURCE TELLS LCCN ON FEB. 7th 2012.  How TRUE are those words FIVE months later....
Monday, June 4, 4:23 a.m.

Good very early morning.
I wanted to republish this article from Los Cerritos Community Newspaper from February 7, 2012.
This is the print edition from that week in which LCCN broke the news about the criminal probe inside the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office.
It is important to remember the history of how this "whole thing came to light." Why? Because community newspapers still matter in America.
Thanks to the hundreds of sources who have been there for LCCN during these past six to nine months.
Facts are important.
Getting ready for what is going to be another amazing week. Yep. Rise and shine.
BTW: How did we find out about this entire situation in the first place, and why us, and how in the world did we get all of the dots connected?
It's called "old school investigative reporting."
Stay tuned, fill you in with more details later today. I need a couple more hours of sleep....

I heard that you're settled down That you found a girl and you're married now I heard that your dreams came true Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you Old friend, why are you so shy? Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded That for me, it isn't over Never mind, I'll find someone like you I wish nothing but the best for you, too Don't forget me, I begged, I remember you said Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead You know how the time flies Only yesterday was the time of our lives We were born and raised in a summer haze Bound by the surprise of our glory days...

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has opened up a formal inquiry into the activities of Assessor John R. Noguez, Los Cerritos Community News has learned exclusively.
Noguez, who was elected in November of 2010 is the subject of a probe that was launched on November 18, 2011, LCCN can confirm.
In an interview with David Demerjian, Senior District Attorney with the Office of Public Integrity, a complaint was filed late last year and that “an inquiry has commenced.”
LCCN has also been told by four senior members who work at the highest levels for Noguez that that the focus of the probe revolves around the relationship between Noguez and Encino businessman Ramin Salari.
Salari is the owner of Assessment Appeals Services, LLP. According to their company website, Salari touts his company’s ability to help “over 6,000 property tax reassessments with a high success rate.”
Noguez spokesman Louis Reyes said that “they have not received anything whatsoever from the District Attorney’s Office.”

I have received hundreds of emails, tips and comments from "good" employees who work inside the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office.  Today, I wanted to share this ONE note that speaks LOUDLY to the current criminal crisis inside the Los Angeles County Hall of Administration.  Keep them cards and letters coming!.  BTW.  I totally agree.  All of Noguez'es upper management need to be put in hand cuffs.  Opps.  I just said it....
r

Hi Randy:
I am sure you saw Noguez's email on his voluntary leave of absence that he sent on Friday. I just wanted to point out that in the body of the email he notes that normally the Chief Deputy Assessor would take over but that the position was currently vacant and the board of supervisor's have to appoint an interim Assessor. Noguez's creative reorganizing of the org chart to appoint his friend, Chris Carlos left that void. Further, the head HR was against the new org chart, until she was offered an elevation in her position.

The fact that you have no one to take over points to Noguez's incompetency but the head of HR had a fiduciary duty to say no, this does not make sense for the organization. But she got her promotion, so she scratches his back, he scratched hers.

Really, all of the upper management is in on it. They all need to go.

On another note, most of people on the Board of Supervisors endorsed Noguez, and I heard they are considering Auerbach to come back as interim? Auerbach who hand picked Noguez to succeed him to begin with? Yes we might might be getting rid of the most blatant offender but how is this going to make it any better?"

My thoughts about the "leave of absence" of Los Angeles County Assessor John Noguez. Who is this guy kidding?

No comments:
What's THE REaction:

Break out the CRIME SCENE TAPE.  Yep.  This is going to be a long hot summer here in LA County

I wanted to chime in about Los Angeles County Assessor John R. Noguez “earth shattering” decision to “take a leave of absence” from his duties as the “elected” assessor.

Los Angeles County Assessor John Noguez must resign.
The Gooze is Gonzo.....
Noguez is still on the payroll.  He is taking a “bad boy time out” from running the office he has looted for the past two years as “America’s County Assessor.”  You and I are still paying for his outrageous salary, medical benefits, retirement package, and well, whip out your pocket calculators….

As the reporter who broke the story about this entire CRIMINAL PROBE six months ago, I know a few thousand details about how Noguez lined the pockets of his biggest campaign donors, his campaign consultants, and endless number of political money donors.

Noguez is on the verge of a total meltdown

Friday, he decided to “get out of Dodge” by submitting a bizarre set of memos to employees and to the media about his current legal woes.  Using terms like “it is in the best interest of the office” and “I truly care about all of our employees.”  Huh?

“In the interest of restoring public confidence in the professionalism, integrity, and impartiality of the Assessor’s Office, I intend to take a leave of absence from my duties as Assessor. I do not take this decision lightly.

Wait a minute.  He doesn’t make this decision lightly?  Are you serious?  What planet is he living on?   I wonder how many political advisors put their heads together to draft his “manifesto” that was sent out on Friday.

Does he think anyone of the 10 million people PLUS people who live in LA County are actually buying into his “twisted exit plan.”
Noguez and his "Pen Pal" Ramin Salari.  Yep.
John, the game is over.   You are running out of “moves” on your political chess set. This is going to be a long hot summer, and I am going to continue to be covering every detail on behalf of America’s Best Community Newspaper, our “tiny” Los Cerritos COMMUNITY Newspaper. This is remarkable, in so many ways.  Keep you posted….
