The play of the new decade so far goes to Tank Carder, the Defensive back who literally saved the day for TCU. After a Wisconsin touchdown late in the game, and while going for a two point conversion that would have sent the game into OVERTIME, Carder slapped a Scott Tolzien's pass, intended for tight end Jacob Pedersen and sealed the deal for the Horned Frogs.
Tank was the Defensive Player of the Game. I say, Tank, stay in Pasadena. Run for Mayor. This TOWN belongs to you pal! Grab me my phone. Gotta call Tank! What a game! One for the ages. What did you think? Amazing, or what? Hit my comment section.

VIDEOS ARE FROM PARTY GOERS WHO ATTENDED THE EVENT VIA YOU TUBE!
LOS ANGELES -- Here we go again. Just like in 2010, this new year is turning out to be a total mess over at the Los Angeles County Memorial Sports Arena due to one of the mega "Rave" concerts that attracted literally thousands last night and earlier today. Image by Getty Images via @daylife Less than eight hours ago, 62 people were treated for "possible" Ecstasy and alcohol overdoses at a rave at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.
Dozens more were arrested on suspicion of possessing the psychedelic drug. Sad thing is, that you and I are once again are picking up the tab for the costs to protect and treat these out of control party goers. One man trying to exit the venue took ``a long fall'' on the Figueroa Street side of the arena, firefighters said, adding that he was among those hospitalized early today. It is estimated than more than 26,000 people attended the event. Way over capacity for this old worn out arena.
Firefighter-paramedics and police were especially busy between midnight and 2 a.m. at the 13th annual ``Together As One'' event, billed by promoters as ``the world's largest New Year's Eve dance music festival.''
In the 90 minutes before the event was scheduled to end at 2 a.m., paramedics treated multiple patients -- including two young men and a young woman believed to be in her late teens -- for possible drug overdoses. Glad that we aren't having to plan a bunch of funerals this beautiful New Years morning because of events like this one... WAKE up LA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS! STOP THESE TAXPAYER SUPPORTED RAVES ONCE AND FOR ALL! STOP PUTTING PERSONAL PROFITS BEFORE THE SAFETY OF OUR RESIDENTS. IS IT TIME TO FOLLOW THE MONEY? I KNOW WHERE THE TRAIL STARTS AND ENDS. ENOUGH in ENOUGH. Click here for an AMAZING look at the MONEY TRAIL from the RAVE promoters. It will SHOCK you. Thanks to LA WEEKLY for this REMARKABLE INSIDE LOOK!

12:45 p.m. Pasadena, CA
The 2011 Rose Parade is over. Finally. I have been glued to KTLA Channel 5 all morning long, and I have some winners, lots of losers, and well, I hope the 2012 Rose Parade isn't a snooze fest like today's edition.
First Award goes to KTLA CHANNEL 5 NEWS! AMAZING COVERAGE! SCALE OF 1 to 10: THEY GET A 10 PLUS!
Stephanie Edward and Bob Eubanks and Micha Olhman were delightful. Enjoyed seeing all the great students from Cal Poly sitting in the crowd and serving as "Commentators" for Micha. Great JOB, KTLA! The Morning News Team on KTLA also did an amazing job. What a great group of professionals! Watch KTLA all day long for Rose Parade repeats. Henry DeCarlo rocked, and so did the rest of the Morning News Team. SIMPLY THE BEST! The BEST LINE of the MORNING was the "NUTS ON MY FACE" comments from Stephanie Edwards. Watch this clip that is beginning to go "viral" on You Tube. Some are calling for a "changing of the guard" on the live Parade Coverage with KTLA for 2011. I tend to agree. Turn the 2011 Rose Parade on KTLA over to the MORNING NEWS TEAM as the new "Bob" and "Stephanie." But overall, a TREMENDOUS JOB!
MARCHING BANDS WERE THE BEST in the past decade. The High School bands were incredible. My favorite was the band from Japan. Yep. The North Japan Honor Green Band was full of energy, and full of life. Also loved these High School bands: Banda Musical Delfines Band, Southwest De Kalb High School Band, the All-Birdville High School Band. Also loved the West Coast Composite Marine Marching Band. Above is the University of Wisconsin Marching Band. BTW. Most of the FLAG TWIRLERS need to go on diets. Just sayin'
EQUESTRIANS get a HUGE 10 out of 10!
Prue magic to see the best horses in the world to march down Colorado Boulevard. This was the HIGHEST point of this years parade. KUDOS to Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard, The Scripps Miramar Saddlebreds.
THE FLOATS GET A TOTAL SCORE of 6 OUT OF 10
Sorry, the Floats this year were a total bomb. This years theme "Building Dreams" was a total dud. It did not hit the nail on the head.
Way too many floats with "houses" and "huts" plopped on them. Looked like watching houses of trailers. Most of the Floats all looked alike. Very little creativity this year, with the exception of the Reagan Library Float, the Pac Man Float, The Cal Poly University Float. The City of Sierra Madre had a breakdown at the beginning of the Parade, that literally threw the entire parade under "a bus" so to speak. The City of Los Angeles Float was just plain silly. Still can't figure out why Dole Foods got the Sweepstakes, other than the fact that it was a first time entry.
THEME OF THE PARADE "BUILDING DREAMS, FRIENDSHIPS, AND MEMORIES" gets a 4 out of 10.
Trust me, this Parade will be forgotten about by January 3rd.What were they thinkin?
TOURNAMENT WEBSITE was also down most of the morning. No excuses for this "breakdown" in technology.
DRUNKS IN THE CROWD 9 out of 10
Pasadena Police arrested 48 people for being drunk in public from midnight and by the end of the Parade. Wait till tonight. Wild Rose Bowl starts in an hour!
Just found out that Dole Foods has won the 2011 Sweepstakes Award for the Rose Parade. WHAT A HUGE AWARD! You can't keep this news too secret for long....
The Dole Float is a creation of Fiesta Floats! Below is a peek at the winning entry.
The winners of the 2011 Float competition for the Tournament of Roses Parade are just beginning to be announced. As soon as the official list is released to the media, I will be listing all the winners!
Now, the world gets to sit back and see for the magic of this breathtaking event.
The 2011 Float Judges for the Tournament of Roses were Nancy Clarke, Debbie Turner, and Kirk Hendrix. The theme of the 122nd Rose Parade presented by Honda is “Building Dreams, Friendships and Memories.”
Only 25 entries were selected to receive awards in a variety of categories and specifications including the Viewers’ Choice Award. While you are watching the Parade today, everyone will be able to submit their vote for the “Viewer’s Choice Award.”
Think American Idol for the Flower world. From you cell phone, text the keyword FLOAT followed by the Float I.D. to 50649 or by voting online (visit our www.tournamentofroses.com/viewers-choice-award for more information. Fans can vote up to five times for their fave float. Voting will take place from 8:00 a.m. (PST) to 2:10 p.m. (PST) on January 1, 2011. My pick for the Viewer’s Choice Award is the Natural Balance Pet Food entry with the 12 dogs “boogie boarding.” It is going to be a huge hit! But, never count out the fans from the “Cal Poly University” Float to be “strong contenders” in the VC category. Those “tech savvy” students got game if you know what I mean.
Be back soon with the OFFICIAL LIST OF WINNERS for the 2011 Rose Parade.
St. Joseph County Police say Haywood was arrested around 4 p.m. Friday at a home in the 50000 block of Hawthorne Meadow Drive. He has a child with the woman living there. Haywood is the former head coach at the University of Miami (Ohio). See above You Tube Video for one of his "classic" locker room rants.
Police say there was a custody issue and the woman attempted to leave, and this is when police say a "physical altercation" broke out.
YIKES. The woman, (her name is not be released due to the fact that she is a possible victim of Domestic Violence) told police Haywood grabbed her by the arm and neck and pushed her. The victim apparently suffered bruising and "red marks" on her arms. Haywood is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail until his arraignment on Monday, or until a judge-requested bond is granted.
I just watched this clip from You Tube. What do you think? Hit my comment section. If these charges turn out to be true, what should the University of Pittsburgh do?
By Randy Economy www.Economy4ABC.Blogspot.com December 31, 2010 UPDATED AT 11:35 a.m.
Pasadena, CA
Here is the Official Line Up for the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade. GET UP EARLY! Parade Begins at 8 a.m. (PST) TOMORROW, January 1, 2011 in Pasadena, California. BTW. Next year, I should become the "official Blogger" for the Tournament of Roses Parade. Just throwin' it out there Red Suiters. Happy New Year! Also, look for a FLYOVER of the B2 Stealth Bomber. This is AWESOME to see in person, year in and year out!
The widespread belief that in return for damning testimony which The Kid provided at a later murder trial, a pardon was promised – but never granted – by then-New Mexico Territorial Governor Lew Wallace for earlier actions committed by The Kid during the Lincoln County Wars in New Mexico in the latter half of the 19th century.
Specifically this "Pardon" issue revolves around The Kid’s alleged role in the killing of one Sheriff William Brady, a suspected operative of a rival faction during the Wars.
Richardson is out of office after today. He made his announcement on Good Morning America just a couple of minutes ago. As soon as a clip of his appearance hits GMA here on the West Coast, I will put it up on my blog.
So, is this okay with you? Has Justice been carried out? What do you think about Governor Richardson's take on this situation? Hit my comment section below!
It is total madness over in the "Float Tents" in Pasadena and Azusa and surrounding "hoods." Literally thousands of volunteers (known as "Pedal Pushers") are sticking hundreds of tons of flowers, seeds, bark, glue and wonderment to more than five dozen super cool works of art we here call "floats."
This is PERFECT Pasadena Parade weather. Yep. Cold. Into the 30's tonight. We had a great day of rain. The flowers are literally "popping" in all the right places. Looks like sunshine on New Years Morning. Bundle up. Don't be cold, be cool.
The Marching Bands are also getting rested and prepared to march over 5 1/2 long miles in ultra cold weather that his expected for the 8 a.m. start of the parade.
The horses are also getting ready for their final "grooming sessions" and thousands of fans have already begun to camp out to get their front row seat. Great festival over at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center today featuring all the amazing and talented horses and their riders! (My best pick are the Buffalo Solider Riders).
COOLEST FLOAT EVER?
Look for the coolest float in the 2011 Rose Parade to be the massive entry from Natural Balance Pet Food. It could be the "coolest" float in the history of the 100 plus year extravaganza.Yep. It is going to be a record setter. (Biggest, largest, and heaviest float to ever to chug down Colorado Boulevard).
Floating down Colorado Boulevard, literally.....
The float will feature world famous skating bulldogs Tillman and Rose. Joining them will be a half dozen skim boarders and a team of Dock Diving Dogs. Yep. Cowabunga dude. This mega float is all about water. Pools of dogs diving, skim boardin' and just having a total blast while a billion humans watch them via television, and the Internet.
The theme of the Natural Balance Float is apply called "Havin' a Splash". Thousands of wanna be "doggie" divers auditioned to be part of this entry. Mega amazing Jim Hynd from Fiesta Parade Floats is the mastermind behind this record setting float.
Here are a few of the impressive stats on this bad boy:
104 Feet Long (Biggest ever, a world record)
18 Feet wide
26 Feet tall
84,300 TOTAL POUNDS
Two independent steering systems
Portable heating system for the swimming pool
Tens of Thousands of flowers, Gerber daises, roses, seeds
12 dogs
2 human drivers (not seen, at the front and the back)
Wow. BTW. If this float sinks along Colorado Boulevard, since it is so heavy, look for a real dog eat dog controversy to break out. Stay tuned.
