Artesia High School: Who are the real criminals? It's NOT our children!!!

This last week MILLIONS of People across AMERICA took to the streets to VOICE their OPINIONS about the Congressional Bill on Immigration that is being heard on Capitol Hill.

This WAS their moment to speak out. This was that ONE time of a political issue that was going to be THAT MOMENT they will remember forever.

A Statement. It's about Immigration. I'am the GRANDSON of a Greek Immigrant who came to America alone...on a boat...when he was not even a teenager. Why? Because his family wanted him to live "the American Dream."

I led a walk out of 3,000 ABC Students in 1975.

My Grandfather missed seeing me then and as I grew into adulthood.


I remember PaPa Daddy telling me stories of hard work as a NEW IMMIGRANT to AMERICA. Vegetable stands where "his bread and butter." Hard work. Times where tough as a GREEK AMERICAN here in in the United States during the turn of the new Century (that's the 1900's not 2000's).

I was 15 when I planned the Cerritos High School Walk Out in 1975.


I did not get arrested.

I did not get fingerprinted.

I did not follow all of the RULES.

I did not sit in silence. I was Passionate. I had passion.

But, I didn't like being told "NO" by the Cerritos High School Administration back then.

As a matter of fact, the two teachers I had for Local Government andAmerican History during that Sophomore YEAR at Cerritos High School was ABC School Sup. Gary Smutts and Diawne Stanley...who is now an Administrator in the South Bay.

Mrs. Stanley (aka: "STAN") taught me how to protest..

She taught me in CLASS and OUT of Class at Cerritos High School.

We organized and took to the streets of Cerritos, and Lakewood and Artesia and Hawaiian Gardens that year of 1976. Park land vs. Horse Property. I wanted the Cerritos Regional Park.

The opposition wasn't selling their property. The children had NO major REGIONAL PARK here at the time. We wanted our Park. We got our Park. By ONE Vote. That of LA COUNTY SUP Kenny Hahn.

Openly and honestly we protested. Walked out of CERRITOS HIGH SCHOOL as ONE.

3,000 of my fellow classmates...AS ONE.

I was one of THREE students that came up with the idea of taking to the streets that year here. It taught me a Civic Lesson. I did not get arrested.

Hell No...sister.

But...The media was there. Now fast forward to THE "WALK OUT" of 2006.

More than 100,000 students a day went to the streets last week in Los Angeles County alone.

But here, at the ABC School District...the kids were lied too.

ABC Sup. of Schools Gary Smutts knew about the walk-out this past week. He mis-lead the PEOPLE this week during his comments regarding his "knowledge" of the GREASED FENCES and needs to disclose to US taxpayers is full knowledge and participation of having HUNDREDS of his STUDENTS cited and processed as CRIMINALS for WALKING OUT of ARTESIA HIGH SCHOOL.

ARTESIA HIGH SCHOOL did what MILLIONS of CHILDREN across this GREAT LAND...they walked out of school. This campus was in "lock-down." No one was gettin' past the Campus Guards or new Artesia Principal Sergio. Doesn't this New Artesia Principal have a history of problems like this from his former employer. Hummm.....?

So...

While the kids of Artesia where walking out...the roof was caving in over at the ABC School District Administration Compound over on 166th. No. Not the criminal probes of ABC School Board Members David Montgomery AND Clerk Mark Pulido....the REAL ROOF was CAVING in.

remember that tall guy she replaced. You know...the one who illegally sat as a Member of da' abc board for 9 months while living in Long Beach....ex-Board Member Bob Blogwin was actually sitting in the ABC School Board Meeting audience for this meeting. Some nerve that Blobwin...I wonder if the EDUCATION NEWS is about to hit da' stands again?
